The Beaty family is organizing a kayaking trip through the Morro Bay Estuary / Bird Sanctuary for the
Sunday morning activity. The plan is to rent kayaks from Kayak Horizons (website
http://www.kayakhorizons.com ). The drive to Morro Bay is about 30 minutes. We would leave right after breakfast at
9:30, kayak in the bay for about an hour and then return to the Dancing Deer Farm in time for lunch.
If we have a large enough group, the cost of a tandem kayak is $13 plus tax per person and the cost of a single kayak is $20 plus tax. The rental is actually for 4 hours – however, I was told that you can see most of the bay in about an hour and most kayakers go out for about that long. To be sure of having the kayaks available, I will call ahead and make reservations. Check with your family members and by Friday, May 12th, please let me know who wants to sign up for this activity.
