Kayaking in Morro Bay – Final Details

Kayaking in Morro Bay

Sunday, May 28, 10:00 am

Who’s going?

I paired up spouses or those I know are kayaking together:

  1. Dave & Claudia
  2. Shannon & Jason
  3. Patrick & Ali
  4. Maripat & Joe
  5. Jessie & Andrew
  6. Kelly & Andrew
  7. Joel & Lauren
  8. Rebecca & Jeremiah
  9. Laura & Erin

There are 11 who need to pair up:

Alan, Rachel, Kyle, Nic, Yvonne, Kevin, Julia, Grant, James, Alexandra, Vik

How to Get There?

We will meet in the Hacienda Parking Lot at 9:25 a.m. We should try to carpool and cut down on the number of cars as much as possible. Our reservation is for 10:00

am. and it takes about 30 minutes for the drive.

Address: Kayak Horizons, 551 Embarcadero, Morro Bay (on the waterfront just

south of the Aquarium)

Phone: 805-772- 6444

Claudia’s cell: 714-943- 1802

What to wear?

 Layers of light to medium weight clothing that can easily be removed or added are recommended. Fabrics such as synthetics or fleece provide great insulation even when wet.

 Shorts and T-shirts are great for warm days – a warmer shirt or jacket to layer on in case the weather is cool.

 Steer clear of cotton or jeans as they take too long to dry.

 Old sneakers, water shoes, or sandals for footwear.

 Hats and glasses for sun protection.

What to bring?

 A bottle of water and snack, optional

 Camera / phone / binoculars (if you have a dry bag – you can rent one from the kayaking place)

 Sunscreen

 Towel in case you get wet (you can leave in car)

Details?

 We each have to sign a waiver and I will bring copies and have you sign before we depart for Morro Bay.

 I will pay for the full group with a single credit card to expedite the process –  you can pay me $13 per person before or after the trip.

 Please use the restroom before we leave – there are no restrooms at the kayaking port. If you have to go while we are there, you will have to drive 2 blocks south to Tidelands Park to use their facilities.
